“Leaning forward in all that we do…” We recently celebrated our 100th birthday as a church. As, the pastor, I feel humbled and privileged to lead Lansing First Church, into a new century. The Scriptures tell us about how Jesus commissioned His disciples on a mountain in Galilee shortly after His Resurrection. He did this in advance of His Ascension and the arrival of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps He wanted to prepare them so they could “lean forward” towards their mission to make disciples. For us, it is this “leaning forward” which will define the approach we take, as we minister to our community. We will “lean forward” as we GO and TELL others, so that they too might SEE Jesus. Our ministry strategy is to be Christ-centered, as we seek to love Him, love the lost and love each other. Blessings, Pastor Ray
